red-eye
'red-eye' is an expression meaning: to be awake all night (tired, with blood-shot eyes)
or
a plane or train that travels at night.
For example: I took the red-eye to Boston. means ... I took the plane to Boston over-night, so I was up all night.
I have red eyes lately because I am getting up early to go to work.

Some people set off fireworks on Victoria Day. Technically, I think fireworks are illegal now, but some fly-by-night operations sell them. This is an expression for businesses that appear one day, and are gone the next day. Some people sell fireworks out of the back of a trailer.
