The key on the bottom left corner of the keyboard is called the "Control" key (labelled "ctrl"). Is it the same in Japan?

There are special commands when you hold down the Control key and press a letter:

Control-C means "copy".
Control-X means "delete".
Control-V means "insert".

Here's a YouTube video on how to cut-and-paste:

Learn to teach English to Japanese people on YouTube.

In the beginning, people came from England to America and landed in the East.

Then later some people moved west. There was a saying "Go west, young man".

There are big cities in the East and more people vote for the Democratic Party (Obama). Americans say "blue states" for Democratic states.

There is more open space in the West and more people vote for the Republican Party (Bush). Americans say "red states" for Republican states.

Sometimes Westerners and Easterners will argue, and Westerners will say to Easterners "Go back east".

In the news, Hurricane Ida is headed for the southern U.S.

It's the end of Daylight Savings Time in North America.
Our clocks go back an hour.

We have an expression: "Spring forward, fall back".
That means that we should move the clocks forward 1 hour in the spring,
and backward 1 hour in the fall/autumn.
